About Us
Welcome to our online home! We are an Orthodox Christian family living in Pennsylvania and this is our space to keep our far-flung family and friends updated on our current adventures. Below you can read a little about each member of our growing Jungwirth clan.
Paul is a Ph.D. student at the University of Pennsylvania in Classical Languages and Literature and teaches undergraduate Latin. In his former life he was a computer programmer and still works on software projects in his spare time. He is also interested in personal finance and blogs over at Dollarology, although the frequency of posts is inversely related to how difficult the current semester at school is!
Arielle is the wife, mama, homemaker and family blogger at jungwirths.com. You’ll generally find her cooking, cleaning, and playing with her sweet little boy, and she couldn’t ask for a better life! Some of her interests which you may find reflected here are finding joy in the everyday tasks of homemaking and raising children, teaching young children about the faith, and creating a peaceful and Christ-loving domestic Church in the home.
We became the Jungwirth family when Paul and Arielle got married in 2008, at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Tacoma, WA.
Less than one year later, James Benedict joined us. He is swiftly (too swiftly for his Mama!) growing into a happy, sweet little boy who loves books and his naps :) In May 2011, we expect another addition to the Jungwirth family, currently called Chickpea.
